We Tried These Burgers from The Bros, Here’s Our Honest Review

Earlier this week, we asked our followers on Instagram to recommend their favorite burgers from The Bros (probably the most loved burger joint in Beirut) so we could put them to the test. After going through everyone’s responses, we decided to try the most recommended burgers that kept popping up—and we chose something that is allegedly the most underrated.

We ordered the Cran-Brie, The Little Caesar, The Nashville Hot, and The New Kid. Here are our honest reviews of each one.

The Cran-Brie: This is hands-down the MOST recommended burger. It’s 180 grams of char-grilled beef patty, cranberry sauce, brie cheese, grilled onions, rocket leaves, and mayo.

Honestly, this burger was a bit overhyped. Not that it’s bad, it’s actually a tasty burger. We just expected it to be mind-blowing because of how many responses we got to try it. Despite containing cranberry sauce, it’s not sweet at all. We’re not sure if there’s something in the burger that cancels out the sweetness, but we did expect it to be sweeter.

Our rating: 7.8/10

The Little Caesar: Someone said that this is the MOST underrated burger on their menu. We only had one response to try this burger, so we thought, why not? It’s a Southern-style fried chicken breast that’s smothered their homemade parmesan caesar sauce, lettuce, dill pickles, tomato, and mayo.

We actually really liked this burger, and we’re surprised only ONE PERSON recommended it. It’s pretty simple, and it’s basically a caesar salad in burger form. But we think that it’s a good choice that you can’t go wrong with.

Our rating: 8.3/10

The New Kid: So many people asked us to try this burger with their own customizations, like with an upside-down bun or minus the onion jam. But we decided to try it as is. It’s 200g of smashed patties, crisp beef or pork Bacon, double American cheese, fresh green chili pepper, onion jam, and “magic sauce” (not sure what that is).

A huge thank you to every single person who recommended this burger because it was actually delicious. The combination of the green chili pepper with the onion jam gave it a good balance of sweet and spicy, and the meat was very juicy. This is a must-try for smashed burger lovers!

Our rating: 8.3/10

The Nashville Hot: Quite a few people recommended this burger (only if you’re a spicy food lover with a really high spice tolerance). Luckily, we have a VERY high spice tolerance, so we were excited to try this one. It’s a Southern-style fried chicken breast, dipped in their homemade Nashville hot sauce with cheddar cheese, coleslaw, sweet Pickles, and mayo.

As someone with an extremely high spice tolerance, this burger was practically inedible. We’re not sure if there was a mistake in the kitchen or something because there was NO WAY that something could be this spicy. The chicken was a very dark brown color, so someone was probably a little heavy-handed with the spice.

However, we talked to the staff about it and they were very friendly. They asked us to choose something else from the menu, on the house.

Our rating: 2.5/10
