4 New Spots in Beirut to Look Forward to This September

Beirut, if you’re bummed about summer coming to an end, let’s cheer you up with some cool new spots in the city. We’re easing out of beach days and closing in on cozy coffee dates, so these 4 new spots are just in time for the summer-fall transition.

1. SCONE, Sanayeh

A charming new coffee and pastry shop is opening in a quaint corner of Sanayeh. Styled like a modern English café with pastel greens and marble countertops, SCONE is the perfect spot to grab a coffee or indulge in fresh bakes before heading to work.

We’re hoping that their namesake is their specialty—the classic British scone.

2. Fat Cat Society, Geitaoui

A new hangout spot where we think all the cool cats will be hanging out this month, Fat Cat Society is, in fact, NOT a café filled with really fat cats. It’s actually a cozy hangout by day and a cool pub by night. Located on Badawi Street, you can enjoy an indulgent breakfast or visit after hours for a cold beer with your friends.

And by the looks of their Instagram stories, they’re a pet-friendly spot. So make sure you let your furry friend in on all the fun.

3. Le Loup, Saifi

Based on our extensive research (we stalked their Instagram profile), Le Loup is a new restaurant and terrace opening soon in Saifi. It might be a French restaurant, given that it’s named “The Wolf” in French – but the recent animation they uploaded looks a lot like farfalle pasta. So it could be Italian?

Once we find out any new information, we’ll keep you posted. Either way, we’re excited to try something new!

4. Kahwet 60, Gemmayze

The vintage Saida coffee spot is opening this week in Gemmayze, adding another café to our roster. Kahwet 60 isn’t just for coffee runs, meaning you can pass by for a tasty Lebanese breakfast or lunch.

If you’re craving a taste of Lebanese nostalgia, save yourself a trip to Saida and wait for their new Gemmayze branch to finally open its doors!
