Haifa Wehbe’s ‘Suspension’ in Egypt Lifted: Here’s the Story

It looks like our iconic Haifa Wehbe is back on track in Egypt after a brief hiccup. The Musicians Syndicate had recently suspended her work permits, putting a halt to all her concerts until she showed up for an investigation. But now, that suspension has reportedly been lifted. So, what’s the story behind all this drama?

Apparently, Haifa signed a deal with a production company but reportedly broke some of its terms (although the specifics were kept untold). The Syndicate’s spokesperson, Mohamed Abdullah, claimed that this all started when Haifa allegedly didn’t stick to her contractual obligations, which led the production company to file a complaint.

To add fuel to the fire, there was another complaint from a contractor claiming that Haifa’s team received a deposit for a gig she never performed at.

This isn’t the first time Egypt has tried to mess with Haifa. Back in 2017, the entertainment world was buzzing when she was banned from working in Egypt due to a dispute with producer Mohammed al-Sobki. The ban came during the production of her film Thanya Wahda and even affected another movie, al-Diesel, starring Mohammed Ramadan. Haifa was supposed to have a role in that movie but withdrew, citing the rushed production schedule as the reason—not the Syndicate’s decision. Despite the drama, she kept things light, telling fans on social media that she’d be back in Egypt soon.

Whatever the story, we’re with Haifa on this one—and now that the suspension is lifted, it’s only a matter of time before she’s back to doing what she does best.
