The Childhood Treat Every Lebanese Person Was Obsessed With

We’re all craving ice cream in this weather, and if you believe that not a single type of ice cream is helping you cool off, you’re right. The only thing that can do that is this childhood treat that every Lebanese person was (and still is) obsessed with. Frozen Bonjus.

Not sure if it’s just a heat wave, or if this is how hot summers are going to be from now on (yay, climate change!). But anyway, a simple frozen Bonjus is going to solve all your problems.

Imagine waking up to the smell of fresh mana2ish that your parents just got from your local furn and you have a frozen Bonjus carton ready in your freezer. Your man2oushet zaatar with khodra is going to taste absolutely DIVINE.

Not that you need a man2oushe to be able to enjoy this treat. We’re pretty sure you can find this childhood treat at any local supermarket, like Spinneys or Snack Town. They can also deliver to your doorstep if you’re feeling lazy.

Anyway, were you the type to put salted chips in their man2oushe? Or do you prefer labne slathered down the middle?
