Watch This American Vlogger Fall In Love with Lebanon

An American travel vlogger recently landed in Lebanon and chose to document her entire journey. Through her captivating videos, you’ll watch her slowly fall in love with the country’s charm and its warm-hearted people.

In a few of her videos, she expressed her concerns about visiting given the current situation. Despite her initial concerns, let’s show you everything Mads did, loved, and said during her visit so far.

This is her trying Barbar’s iconic shawarma

Does your visit to Lebanon even count if you don’t make a trip to Barbar? Serving up all our favorite bites since 1979, this spot holds a special place in our hearts – and now Mads loves it too! She said it tops the Greek gyros and Turkish kebab, and though it’s a little pricey for the portion, she loved the flavors and would definitely buy it again.

She captioned this video: “Lebanese people are the KINDEST people on the planet, I have so many more amazing stories to share and I have never fallen in love with a country so quickly.”

Then she went to Batroun…

Visiting Lebanon during the summer season calls for a Batroun trip. She recalled a trend from Nice last year, where tourists were describing shorelines as “blue as Gatorade” – but she admitted that Batroun has the most magical waters she’s ever seen, even compared to the Caribbean, Croatia, and South East Asia.

She also got to experience the Lebanese day3a life

Her Lebanese friend was heading back to her day3a and she tagged along, and this is probably what we were looking forward to watching most.

Mads fell in love with how there’s so much greenery only 40 minutes away from the capital city, and she got to experience the day3a life firsthand. From kicking off her trip with kaak from Abu Arab to enjoying a yummy home cooked lunch, just watch how welcomed she felt:

And here’s how she felt about Beirut’s nightlife

You can already guess what Mads had to say about our famous nightlife. Lebanese nightlife is known for being among the best in the world, with many tourists, including performers and DJs from all over the world, expressing just how much they loved the party scene.

Apparently, Mads didn’t have any initial plans when coming here, but she somehow ended up at a stranger’s birthday party in the first 24 hours…we’re not even surprised.

What Mads thinks of Lebanon so far

Here’s what she said in her most recent vlog: “This tiny country, which is smaller than the state of Connecticut, has more beautiful scenery than I’ve seen anywhere in the world.”

Day 5 of her Lebanon series is a trip to Jeita Grotto, completed with a delicious Lebanese lunch by the sea. A few phrases that Mads seems to LOVE are “Lebanese are the kindest people”, “the food is delicious”, and “I fell in love with Lebanon”.

We’re always happy to see tourists enjoying Lebanon and loving it as much as we do. Now considering Lebanon her favorite country, she admits that her trip showed her how much Western media lies about the region.

Mads, if you’re reading this and happen to have no plans in Lebanon, we’re sure our website has enough bucket lists to keep you here until next summer. Who cares about having a European summer when Lebanese summers exist?
