23-Year Old Lebanese Powerlifter Shatters World Record

The powerhouse of a Lebanese athlete, Etienne El Chaer, has made headlines by setting a new Deadlift World Record in the 120kg class at the IPF World Open Classic Championships.

The 23-year-old powerlifter stunned the crowd with an astonishing 396kg deadlift, shattering the previous world record. His remarkable feat not only demonstrates his exceptional strength and dedication but also puts Lebanon on the global powerlifting map.

El Chaer took to Instagram to speak on the accomplishment saying, “I am glad to say this is my 3rd World record that still stand!”

El Chaer’s performance at the championships was nothing short of spectacular. Competing against some of the best powerlifters in the world, he showcased an extraordinary combination of power, technique, and determination, securing his place as a leading figure in the sport.

Just last year, Lebanese athlete Joya Khairallah also broke records with an impressive deadlift (183.5kg) and total (428.5kg) in the 52kg class.
