Every time Eid rolls around, we have to experience these 10 things. Without them, it wouldn’t truly be Eid El-Adha.
Did you know a Eid El-Adha festival is happening in Lebanon? Read more about it here.
We’re lowkey obsessed with them.
Arguably the best part about Eid is the maamoul.
“De2ella la settak 3ayeda”
“Ta3 red 3al telephone badda t3aydak khaltak”
You’ll be hearing a lot of that as soon as you wake up on Eid day.
You have to be up early and dressed in your finest Eid attire. Unless you want to deal with your Lebanese mom fo2 rasak mnel soboh, you better be up as soon as the sun rises.
There’s always that one family member who has to take a picture of everyone together, the kids hugging each other, the aunties, the maamoul platters, the food…literally EVERYTHING.
And if person is your mom…well…good luck, Charlie.
Normalize giving adults eidiye, please and thank you.
“Shu aymtan badna nefra7 fik/e?”
“Shu 3am teshteghel?
“Khallaste jem3a wala ba3d?”
Is it even Eid if you’re not dressed up?
RIP kharoof, you were delicious.
They even had their decorations up a week in advance.
