Renowned photographer Ricardo Khalil Abrahao has been announced as the winner of Connections Milan ‘Photo Editorial’ category for his latest story for Vogue Portugal.
The Brazilian artist with Arab roots shot the story for ‘The Lucky’ March issue. The prestigious award was given amongst numerous submissions and judged by a panel of experts from Versace, Prada, Valentino, and other industry names.
The editorial itself was heavily inspired by superstitions, lucky amulets and symbols, with the styling leaning heavily on the impact of the goddess and sainthood. The vibrant colors and contrast reflect the variety of cultures that stimulate the concept. Abrahao’s creative vision has seen his photography published in Vogue, L’Officiel and Numero, to name a few.
Based between Paris and Dubai, his Palestinian and Lebanese heritage remains a major influence in his work. Connections, hosted on May 21st in Milan, is an illustrious industry event, and Le Book’s custom-made trade show built specifically for the creative community. The gathering is hosted in multiple worldwide destinations, and brings thousands of participants and attendees together for networking, portfolio-viewing, trend-spotting and idea-sharing every year.
