Carole Samaha Comes Out as a…Swiftie

Lebanese singer Carole Samaha recently shared a heartfelt tweet where she came out…as a Swiftie.

We’re surprised, appalled, confused, and a little bit scared. In the heartfelt/dramatic/cringey tweet, Samaha commended Taylor Swift for her artistry and called her “pure and genuine to emotions and life itself”.

And we totally agree. We think this Taylor Swift lyric really gets us in our feels: “I’m so depressed, I act like it’s my birthday every day”. The lyricism is truly unmatched. Shakespeare should be relieved that he and Taylor never existed in the same era, because he wouldn’t stand a chance.

We can already feel the Swifties coming for us…but on a more serious note, people were as shocked as we were about Samaha joining the Swiftie cult (albeit like 4 years too late). Here are a few reactions from Twitter:
