Lebanese Designer Collabs With Mayyas In New Collection

Inspired by the craftsmanship of the local women in his community, Lebanese fashion designer Salim Azzam opened his atelier with the goal of producing luxury garments hand-stitched with Lebanese heritage. In his most recent collection, the wonderful designer collaborated with beloved Lebanese dance group Mayyas to bring the garments to life.

Azzam’s childhood fashion sketches inspired the new collection, which is aptly called Dancing Out of the Chrysalis. And what better way to present these garments than through the art of dance?

In a collaboration with Mayyas, who won America’s Got Talent back in 2022 and performed alongside Beyoncé in Dubai, the atelier organized a film to announce his upcoming Fall/Winter 2024 collection.

An impressive and dream-like showcase of the designs, the film features a marvelous selection of clothing from the newest collection that incorporate bits and pieces of heritage from Mount Lebanon.
