The Fairuz and Jean-Francois Michael mash-up we didn’t know we needed!
Twenty-two year old Lebanese singer Jana Salameh wowed judges during her blind audition at The Voice (La Voix) Quebec, and took our breath away.
The Ottawa-based singer, who has trained at the Lebanese Conservatory and learned to play the guitar at 8 years of age, opted to sing in both Arabic and French describing the two as part of her identity. Taking the stage, she started by singing the beloved Fairuz song, Habbaytak bil Sayf and then transitioned to the classic Coupable by Jean-François Michael.
It wasn’t long before judges Corneille and France D’Amour were excitedly buzzing for her. Salameh ultimately opted to join Corneille’s team!

We wish her the best of luck on her musical journey!
