Someone Wrote A Song About Lebanese Women

This song has been all over our For You page on TikTok, so we felt the need to share it with you. Lebanese-Palestinian artist Micheal Hakim decided that Lebanese women deserve to have an entire song dedicated to them, so he teased a new track called Beirut Baby.

If you don’t know Michael Hakim, we know the best way to describe the kind of music he makes: The Weeknd if he were Lebanese, or maybe a blend of Arabic music with early 2000s RnB.

Remember back when International Love by Pitbull ft. Chris Brown was released back in 2011, and we all went crazy over the lyric “in Lebanon, yeah, the women the bomb”? Well, now Lebanese women have their own anthem thanks to this artist.

BTW if you don’t remember that lyric, then you’re probably too young to be on this website. Here’s a refresher for those who would like to relive that iconic moment:

Anyway, Micheal has been teasing his new track for a while now, and it will be dropping on January 26th. You can pre-save it here and just vibe to the short clip that he’s been sharing on TikTok until it’s out.

Even his teta is vibing with us:

We’re just happy that we now have a song about Lebanese women (LOOOOOONG overdue, honestly). Let’s bring back the trend of producing music about Beirut’s vibrant streets and beautiful people.

Anyway, we’re adopting this song as our own website’s anthem.
