14 Things You’ll Relate To If You Don’t Party On NYE

Some of us don’t really like the party scene. Well, it’s not that we don’t like it, it’s just…a lot of work. If you’re one of those people who doesn’t go out on NYE, then you’ll probably relate to this list.

1. Your friends practically BEG you to go out with them

It’s shocking that they still try to convince you every year.

2. You spend hours scrolling on Instagram and live NYE through people you’re following

Why should I go out and celebrate it when I can just watch everyone do it on their Instagram stories?

3. You go to sleep right after the clock hits 12 AM

12:00 – “WOOO HAPPY NEW YEAR”

12:01 – *already over it*

4. You save money on party tickets, clothes, and parking

That’s like $200 (Could be more/less, I don’t go out so I wouldn’t know).

5. You send/respond to all the “yen3ad 3laykon” messages before anyone else

W btekhlas men hal ham.

6. You already know what you’re doing for NYE next year

Same spot next year 🙂

7. You freak out when you get a call any time after 5 PM…or any time

Any phone call any hour/day/week/year will always stress you TF out.

8. You don’t even know what FOMO is

NEVER heard of it.

9. And when you do, you quickly get over it because who wants to bump into sweaty people at parties?

10. You watch all the TV channels fuck up the countdown

MTV, please get your shit together. You have one job literally ONCE A YEAR.

11. If you ever step out of the house after 9 PM, it’s only to get your food men shab el delivery

And your Lebanese mom doesn’t even complain eno 3am tetlob akel because it’s New Year’s Eve.

12. You’re used to getting bullied by your friends for hating parties

You’ll be hear a lot of things. Boring, sa2eel/e, ya allah 3lek/3layke, tab lesh hek enta/e…the list goes on. You’ve learned to tune those out.

13. You’re extra happy when New Year’s is bnoss l jem3a

Tuesday AND Wednesday off to just stay at home? Hell yeah.

14. You binge watch all your comfort shows this time of year

Especially the holiday romcoms. Those are the best.
