Whether you’re just a casual Japanese cheesecake lover or a hardcore otaku, there are a number of Japanese cafés for you to visit in Lebanon.
A café (and the first of its kind in Tripoli) that is filled with your favorite mangas, arranged for you to sit down and flip through while you enjoy tasty Japanese snacks, including onigiri, fish cakes, and mochi.
The space is heavily inspired by traditional Japanese decor, featuring red lanterns and sakura trees. Mangas available (so far): Naruto, One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, and Bleach.
The iconic café that is serving up Japanese cheesecakes that are too fluffy to miss, Kawaii resembles some of the cutest Tokyo cafés with its pink pastel theme and decor. You can order your cheesecake with the toppings of your choice and pair it with your go-to coffee fix for balance.
And yes, they’re even fluffier than they look in the pictures. Their café is also photo-op ready, so don’t forget to snap a few pictures for the memories.
A visit to Ichigo Café is the perfect pick-me-up after a long day. The cozy and colorful café serves Japanese crêpe, taiyaki, coffee, and bubble tea, and they’re just too cute to eat/drink.
Now that the temperatures are dropping, Ichigo came out with specialty drinks for the winter, including hot chocolate to go with all their tasty Japanese desserts.
If you’ve never tried bubble tea, or you have but you’ve never been to Möge Tee, then it’s time for you to pay this café a visit. Not only do they specialize in delightful bubble tea (which they serve in the cutest containers by the way), they also complement your drinks with Japanese confections.
You can enjoy fluffy soufflé pancakes, sweet taiyaki and dorayaki, and of course, cream mochi. While a lot of their recipes stay true to traditional Japanese flavors, they also serve their own creative takes on these desserts.
