Beirut Airport Flooded Following Heavy Rainfall

Videos of an inundated Beirut airport are circulating on social media following this afternoon’s heavy rainfall. Vehicles parked at the entrance seem completely submerged, while people are grappling to navigate the premises amidst flooding that has seeped into the airport.

Lebanon frequently faces challenges following downpours, underscoring the country’s poor infrastructure. Unfortunately, no flood or road blockage is big enough to trigger any proactive effort by the government to address and rectify these issues.
