On December 11, 2023, a global show of solidarity for Gaza and Palestine materialized through a widespread strike, pressing for a ceasefire after the tragic loss of nearly 18,000 lives at the hands of the occupation. In Lebanon, businesses, schools, and some of our team observed this strike, opting not to work nor make any transactions or purchases. Banks and schools closed, and local businesses united by closing their doors in support of the cause.
