An amazing project by the Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI), in collaboration with Mike Sport, aims to plant 1500 trees in the Sannine forest on Saturday, November 4th starting 11 AM.
Participants are invited to join the event and be part of the change, so make sure to lace up your hiking boots!
Lebanon has been suffering from alarming rates of deforestation as a result of poor agricultural practices that have led to forest reduction over the years. The LRI is one of many local projects working to restore and rehabilitate green sites across the country, with impressive impact since the launch of their initiative.
Those who wish to make a change can help the LRI in bringing their vision for a sustainable and green Lebanon to life. On their website, you can find a few ways to contribute, like adopting a tree, a family of trees, or an entire site. They have multiple restoration sites across Lebanon for you to choose from and help restore and rehabilitate!
