Lebanese Woman Wins Gold At Asian Shooting Championship

Exciting news today as we discover that Lebanese athlete Ray Bassil clinched the gold medal with a remarkable performance at the 2023 Asian Shooting Championship in South Korea, guaranteeing her a spot to compete in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Bassil is an 8-time World Cup medalist and 3-time Olympic qualifier in trap shooting, one of the three disciplines in competitive shooting sports. The competitive sport involves shooting clay targets with a shotgun after they are mechanically launched into the air. Athletes must shoot the targets before they manage to hit the ground.
