It’s Wednesday! That means we’re closer to the weekend than we were yesterday, but we desperately need a little pick-me-up. Here are 11 bites to devour in Beirut that we think will help you make it through the week.
If you haven’t heard of this new Lebanese concept, we’re here to put you on. Zarwi is a spot in Minet El Hosn that specializes in gourmet sandwiches with flavors that linger. Hopefully, they linger long enough to distract us until Friday finally rolls around.
In the mood for something a little more loaded? The bites at Sister Wraps are both filling and bursting with flavor, so make sure you’re extra hungry when you stop by so you can devour their wraps the right way. If you’re ready to get down and dirty while digging in, this is the perfect choice.
Those leaning to the sweeter side will love everything about this Baklava pizza. Made with creamy stracciatella cheese and topped with walnuts, pistachios, and a drizzle of rose water syrup, this not-so-average pizza will give you the rush of serotonin you’ve been craving.
A pizza, but not exactly. All that talk about Baklava pizza had us thinking about other pizza-like treats, and we landed on this messy number from Eddy’s Boneless. Though great on its own, we recommend pairing it with something dipped in honey mustard to balance out the savoriness.
Guacamole lovers, this is Beirut bite is heavenly. A creamy treat for anyone who can’t get enough of the guac and chicken combo, the Peruviana is more than your average chicken avocado sandwich. The jalapeño cilantro cream sauce is the cherry on top that makes it an excellent sandwich.
A gourmet bite that will make you fall in love with burgers all over again. MOM is turning your average burger into an upscale delight for those days where you feel like treating yourself without going too crazy. We think deep-fried mozzarella patties remedy like 99% of our problems.
The Mar Mikhael spot that will win over any and every meat lover, the meat will fall off the bone faster than you can say “baby back ribs”. Paired with golden fries, coleslaw, and their house sauce, you’ll be looking forward to the weekend even more so you can come back.
Sometimes a delicious bite isn’t enough. We need an extra kick…maybe a good shove. Which is exactly why this dish is on the list. The Italian street food-style spot serves up the creamiest rigatoni, made with tomato sauce, Parmesan, and a shot of vodka.
We’re not sure how to explain the sorcery behind the deliciousness that are burgers from The Bros, particularly the Fat Tony. Topped with their special homemade marinara sauce, this burger is definitely going to be the highlight of your week.
We can’t NOT mention the delicious molten cake from Chili’s because we’re sure that this dessert has saved us on almost every bad day. One of the best desserts to enjoy in the city, you’ll never forget this oldie but goldie. If only it can save this economy.
The cheese masters always come up with cheesy bites that are just…a bit too cheesy for some people, but if you’re an avid mac n’ cheese fan, then this is right up your alley. Warning: do NOT try this if you’re lactose intolerant.
