Nopal: Batroun’s Charming New Dekkene-Turned-Eatery

With every visit to Batroun, we find a new place to uncover. For our next visit, we have our eyes set on Nopal Eatery, the newest addition to Batroun’s buzzing streets.

Nopal Eatery takes its name from the cactus fruit, which is called sobbeir in Arabic, because of its concept. Bold, versatile, and flavorful!

A concept by the beloved bakery Masa (con mi) Madre in Ijdabra, this brand new concept brings strong culinary opinions to the table and promises to serve you only the best food combinations and ingredients. A spot for an indulgent breakfast, brunch, or lunch, the charming eatery might just become your favorite stop to recharge amid a day of uncovering the beautiful streets of Batroun.

Nopal Eatery aims to pay tribute to the heritage that lies within the walls of its nearly 400-year-old building. Their location is still known as Ammo Mounir’s dekkene, so ask the locals about it if you get lost!

Revamped with a modern and minimalist twist, the vibes at this eatery emanate the perfect morning spent in Batroun. It’s earthy color scheme is easy on the eyes, allowing you to enjoy a serene visit as you grab a quick bite.

Boasting seasonal menus, stop by for a taste of their summer flavors before the season ends and new flavors roll out. For more information, make sure to check out their Instagram! Maybe you’ll catch a sneak peek of what else is on their menu.

So, who’s adding Nopal Eatery to their Batroun bucket list?
