Feel like doing something a little different that is fun for the entire family?
Established in 2001 in Jeita, the Lebanon Marine & Wildlife Museum was founded after Dr. Jamal Younes’ collection grew too large to be stored in Tyre. Currently, the museum is host to over 5,000 specimens, representing more than 2,000 species native to Lebanon.
The museum is divided into six exhibitions: mammals, birds, reptiles, minerals, seashells, and marine life. A wonderful representation of Lebanon’s diverse and rich natural ecosystems, this museum stands as a testament to the range of life that calls the country home.
