Ya Habibi Market: Sharing A Piece Of Lebanon With The World

If you haven’t heard of the original Ya Habibi Market yet, we are about to spill the beans!

Following the 2019 Lebanese uprising and the repercussions of the Beirut blast, Patrick Gemayel, also known as P-Thugg from the Grammy-nominated Lebanese-Canadian electro-funk duo Chromeo, decided to create a virtual souk in partnership with MENA designers to help empower them and raise funds for different charities in the Arab world.

Since its launch in October 2020, the altruistic store named “Ya Habibi Market” as per the famous Arabic expression, brought together many Middle Eastern creatives from across the globe, including Lebanese illustrator Raphaelle Macaron, DJ and collector Disco Arab and Iraqi rapper Narcy, to create capsules and special items inspired by Arab culture, with all proceeds going to charities in Lebanon, Iraq, and Jordan.

The displayed goods include graphic T-shirts, tote bags, hats, notebooks, mugs, skateboards, disposable film cameras, and even soap!

Besides its mission of selling goods to charity, Ya Habibi Market also promotes Lebanese heritage globally. You can shop the exclusive items conceived from scratch by locals here!
