8 Young Artists Reviving The Lebanese Rap Scene

Last month, we introduced you to 17 Lebanese Metal Bands You Should Listen To , but another music genre seems to be also on the rise in Lebanon, as a new wave of rappers has reached high heights in the last few years. We present to you 8 of those rappers who have been gaining notable attention from local fans:


1. Bu Nasser Touffar

This Baalbaki-born musician and author had been in the rap scene since 2009 but remains one of the most active and famous Lebanese rappers to date.

Always having a strong political message to convey, his songs have been blasting on speakers during the October 17 revolution.

He performed in Amsterdam, Germany, Turkey, and most recently in France!




2. Yxng Ba$$

Bass Atassi known as Yxng Ba$$ is a Beirut-based rapper, lyricist, and performer with a Syrian family background. His debut album “The Lord of La Grange” peaked at number 4 on the Apple Music Album Charts in Lebanon in 2021.




3. Madhurtz

He is a Lebanese HipHop artist and rapper with two successful original releases “Mikrar” and “Al Mokhtar” which have already gathered thousands of streams in less than a year.




4. Little G Fresh

An 18-year-old Lebanese female rapper and HipHop singer living in the United States! She has been participating in local rap battles introducing herself as the youngest talent in the scene.




5. Ghoraba2

Goraba2 is a group of rappers from the Lebanese region of Akkar founded by multi-instrumentalist and producer Youssef Sayouf. The members have created a distinguished identity with their oriental-fused HipHop beats, Arabic lyrics, and unique accent.




6. Wael Wehbe

Balancing his passion for architecture and music, this young Lebanese rapper who writes and sings in English has produced two albums so far, “Unread” in 2020 and “Confession Of A Human” in 2021, and have many more projects coming.




7. Moe Jamul

An engineering graduate and rapper, Moe Jamul mixes music with humor, creating rap and HipHop tracks that tackle serious social issues in a sarcastic manner. His latest song “Hadara” premiered on November 23.




8. Roytivation

This 23-year-old commercial rapper from Tripoli has become quite popular with over 15 tracks released, which got him the chance to be featured on a song with actor and singer Wissam Saliba titled “The Big Chill”.
