Independent Pharmacists Bring Medical Relief To Akkar

Following the massacre in Akkar, people were rushed to nearby hospitals to be treated for severe burns. However, considering the current state of the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, most of the hospitals found themselves ill-equipped to treat such high degree level burns, with some patients even being transported to other countries for treatment.

In light of the worsening situation and the struggle to provide basic healthcare, independent pharmacists of “Al Sayadila Yantafidoon” have decided to lend a helping hand to hospitals treating burn victims. Many came forward with donations that they have collected from their emergency stock to give to hospitals.

In addition, they are now accepting donations for medical supplies and medications that they will be handing out to hospitals, the victims who will need treatment following their discharge from the hospital, and people in need of out-of-stock medications. They have so far collected over 3 million LBP worth of donations for supplies to aid the Akkar victims.

The independent pharmacists have taken the initiative and rushed to aid those in need. The elections for the Lebanese Order of Pharmacists are coming up in November, and we can only hope for results in their favor.

If you are able to donate, contact the following numbers:
