Young Girl Hit By Stray Bullet in Akkar
Last night, Joe Maalouf reported the horrifying news of a young girl being hit in the back by a stray bullet in the Norther area of Akkar.
The young girl, identified as Suheila Kassar, was reportedly on her way to buy ice cream when she suddenly fell down to the ground. An unidentfied armed civilian was seemingly testing his new firearm in the middle of Akkar’s busy streets, paying no mind to the lives and wellbeing of anyone but himself.
Thankfully after being hospitalized, the young girl underwent surgery and is now stable.
Many lives have been previously affected by the lack of gun control and stray bullets. Just last September, Footballer Mohammad Atwipassed away after being hit by a stray bullet. He had been in critical condition for a month following his brain surgery. Atwi is not the only victim of this heinous act, dozens of similar casualties take place each and every year with no remedies being put in place.
