LOL: WhatsApp Bans Lebanese Ministers’ Accounts
WhatsApp has reportedly imposed a ban on the accounts of several Lebanese ministers from Hariri’s previous government. The cause of the ban is largely unknown but it was greatly amusing to us to see them suffer. Some of the former ministers managed to recover their accounts after emailing WhatsApp, while others remain blocked.
It is important to note that WhatsApp bans accounts of users who send obscene or threatening messages to others. WhatsApp also has the discretion to decide what constitutes as obscene and threatening. Users are also banned should they promote violence on the app, or create a fake account.
Suffice to say, Lebanese Twitter did not hesitate to respond to this news:
