Lebanon Announces Nationwide Lockdown Again

New Year, new lockdown measures.

As COVID-19 collapses the little that remains of our healthcare sector, the Lebanese government has decided to implement a three week lockdown, starting this Thursday January 7th until February 1st.

Below are the measures that are to be implemented:

– Legal actions are to be taken against offenders, not just fines.

– A nationwide curfew is imposed between 6 PM and 5 AM

– All restaurants, clubs, cafes, and pubs are to close

– Supermarkets and pharmacies are allowed to open between 5 AM and 6 PM

– Delivery services are allowed between 5 AM and 6 PM

– Healthcare workers are exempt

– Odd/Even plate rule is back in effect (Monday-Wednesday-Friday for odd and Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday for even)

We will keep adding to this list as more details are released.
