ISF Arrests 34 People For ‘Celebratory Gunfire’ On New Year’s Eve

The beginning of this new year in Lebanon was accompanied by a shower of stray bullets in cities all across the country causing injuries, the death of Houria Ali Al-Jasem – a Syrian refugee in the Bekaa region, and damage to four MEA airplanes.

The ISF later posted a list of names of individuals who were arrested for the acts during New Year’s Eve, and asked that citizens submit any proof they have in the form of photos and videos that will be taken in as evidence against the shooters. It’s good to see that people are paying for their idiocy. In return, the government has decided to freeze firearm licenses of citizens for a month.

Is a month of freezing licenses enough? We think not. Without serious consequences, this phenomenon will never cease to exist in our already crumbling country.
