Lebanese Designer Hass Idriss Shares Insipiringly Inclusive Campaign

A campaign like no other, Lebanese fashion designer Hass Idriss has chosen to shed light on Lebanese women and LGBTQI individuals and their roles in Lebanese society as part of his latest collection for Winter 20-21.

Idriss featured the gorgeous new campaign titled Social Tapestry on his social media pages, with non-models taking center stage to showcase his stunning designs.

DJ Caline Chidiac is one of the women featured in the campaign, she very poignantly said, “being a woman in Lebanon is a contradiction in itself! Women are holding the fort in their homes and have practically no rights in the eyes of the law”.

Drag artist and designer Andrea is also featured and quoted saying, “Lebanese women have had to overcome so much which shows a great deal of resiliency and power”.

Others taking part in the campaign include Elham Wazni who is a mother to three daughters. She was quoted saying, “I believe that interfaith marriage in Lebanon should be made legal, today! We need the people to unite and not to view each other as ‘the other’ or as being different. This is the only way to move forward”.

The campaign also features several other individuals, we urge you to check it out on Hass Idriss’s page.

Through this campaign, these progressive and wonderful individuals are given a stage to share their inclusive and loving points of view, reminding us all that a more inclusive and progressive Lebanon is still possible.
