The Daily Star that the Central Bank has thus far refused to provide the firm with documents needed to perform a forensic audit.
The auditing firm found BDL’s reaction very troubling, and is allegedly studying the possibility of terminating the contract with the government.
Back in July,
the Lebanese government hired the firm Alvarez & Marsal to conduct a forensic audit of the Central Bank as the country continued to grapple with a financial meltdown.
