These Are The People Who Took Advantage Of Housing Loans Intended For Low Income Families

Housing loans subsidized by the Central Bank are chiefly intended for low income households, but in this country, the politicians and ruling class have managed to hoover up that pot of gold, too.


Here are ONLY SOME of the leaked names, in the seemingly endless whirlwind of corruption and greed.


1. Mikati Group (known as M1)



Through six real estate companies, the Mikati brothers managed to obtain $35.6 million in random loans.


2. Nadim Mounla



The Hariri advisor and former Chairman and General Manager of Future TV managed to suck up $3 million through one loan, and another $1.3 million through another in his daughters name (alongside his). GRAND TOTAL: $4.3 MILLION


3. Judges Maher Cheaito, Randa Yakzan, and Nader Mansour

The three judges account for $2.3 million, $860,0000, and $2.5 million respectively. GRAND TOTAL: $6.6 MILLION


4. Amer and Raed Bassam Assaad

Both younger than 18 years old and have $6 million in housing loans. HAHAHAHAHA.


5. Samer AbdelHafiz Itani



Through KLN Residences SAL, Itani sucked up $7.8 million. It’s also important to note that Itani is the Chairman and General Manager of Lebanon & Gulf Bank LGB.


6. Danny Nazih Dagher

Through Okapi Real Estate Services SAL, Dagher managed a $2 million loan. It’s also important to note that Dagher is a manager and chair at Bank Audi.


7. Ali Kabalan Kabalan

Son of Kabalan Kabalan who is the Chief of South Council, Ali got his hands on $866,000.


8. Ali Hussein Bdeir

Through Marina 19 SAL, Bdeir got his hands on $3.2 million.


The list goes on with names like Antoine Bou Jabr, Elias Najah Tamer, Ahmad Assouma through AMA Real Estate, Aziza Karam Hamieh, Fabio Elie Khoury, Ghassan Abou Saba, Paul Nakouzi, Ali Mohammad Amin al Sayyed, Joseph Hassib Bechara and so many others.
