If Lebanese People Were Cheeses On A Cheese Platter

You’ve probably never thought to personify cheeses as people, or to give people cheese equivalents. Well, we here at Beirut.com are willing to do the legwork for you. Here is how we envision a Lebanese cheese platter, filled with all the pungent personalities you know and love.

The Roquefort:

Flavors: tangy, moldy, sharp

Corresponding Lebanese Personality: The person you have to invite to the party, who constantly self-promotes, but no one ever bites.

The Mozzarella

Flavors: milky, mild

Corresponding Lebanese Personality: Plain Jane, who is so sweet but you never seem to remember her name. Also, you never really want her around but don’t mind when she shows up.

Truffle parmesan cheese

Flavors: umami, rich, rare

Corresponding Lebanese Personality: A party must-have, yet an acquired taste. This person is witty and charming but their reputation precedes them.

Halloumi

Flavors: firm, salty

Corresponding Lebanese Personality: Native, authentic and what you see is what you get. That is, if you are not out busy trying to score for more.

Burrata

Flavors: milky, buttery

Corresponding Lebanese Personality: Exotic on the surface but when it comes down to it: real basic.

Camembert

Flavors: sweet, smooth, buttery

Corresponding Lebanese Personality: a real party warmer, almost can’t get enough but it’s best not to overindulge
