Lebanon is a functioning democracy in which you are free to form your own government based on their merit. Okay, joke is over but it is not a complete lie. You can actually create your own government: consisting of 9 Lebanese leaders, 24 cm in height, to be exact.

HiCart recently released as part of its home deco collection, 9 figurines of Lebanese politicians: Amine Gemayel, Talal Arslan, Najib Mikati, Michel Aoun, Samir Geagea, Walid Jumblatt, Sleiman Frangieh, Nabih Berri, and Saad Hariri.
Just imagine waking up to Geagea and Aoun on your bedside table, and cooking your breakfast with Berri perched on the kitchen counter. What a pleasant way to start your day – as if traffic isn’t enraging enough!
Truth be told, maybe some people will buy these before even having their kids’ pictures framed. But aside from that small faction, I wonder what went through the brand’s (C-Leb’s) mind to come up with such a concept.
Did they expect Lebanese mom to stuff a Berri, a Jumblatt or a Hariri in her son’s suitcase before he traveled to Dubai for work? Or they expected cab drivers to put this in their car to charm commuters in? Or better yet, these figurines could be the number one reason for bar fights!
At the end of the day, there are two ways of putting these figurines to use, either as home/car deco or voodoo dolls. Take your pick people. The 9 Lebanese political leaders set was sold initially at $315, it is now $150 and one figurine is for $20.
I can’t help but thank C-Leb and Hicart.com for giving the Lebanese people the sole and untouched freedom of picking their Lebanese leader for once.
