12 Things We Wish Lebanese People Would Stop Doing At Restaurants

Restaurants were made for eating good food and having a good time, right? No, not in Lebanon. Here are the things we wish Lebanese people would stop doing while eating out – so that we can finally enjoy the luxury once again.

1. Being rude to waiters

They’re serving you your food, you should be smart enough to treat them with respect.

2. Bringing an iPad for every child in the family

Not a good look.

3. Bringing your children in the first place

If it’s a fancy restaurant you’re going to late at night, your children would rather be asleep and we’d rather not have them running around behind us.

4. Showing up at 10 when your reservation was for 8:30

Being fashionably late is not a real thing.

5. Snapping at waiters

Nope.

6. Smoking in your face

Thank you for blowing smoke into my face as I take my first bite of this fancy Tobacco salad.

7. Cigars.

8. Over-ordering, and leaving without taking the food home

You will not be considered a peasant for taking the extra food you are paying for home, you’ll be considered a peasant if you waste it and would rather it be thrown away than eaten.

9. Dressing up like you’re going to a wedding, to eat at Roadster’s

Keep those heels at home.

10. Staying at the table 4 hours after you finished eating your meal

We’re like really, really hungry.

11. Taking pictures of your food

Nobody cares.

12. Spending your whole meal scrolling through Instagram instead of talking to the person you’re with

Your date must be going well.
