12 Desserts To Keep You Warm This Winter

We all love sweets. At least most of us do. Winter is the season of oversized jumpers for a reason: to eat more! So let’s indulge in one (or more) of these top 12 desserts today:

1. Chocolate Fondue at Grand Hills Hotel

Nothing says winter more like Fondue au Chocolat aka your excuse to drink chocolate in liquid form. Hey, it’s dark chocolate so technically it’s good for you! Check out the awesome Thursday offer Grand Hills Hotel has going on at Chez Alain Restaurant for just $20 per couple! Pair that with a glass of red wine and you’re good to go!

2. Molten Lava Cake at Chili’s

This moist molten lava cake (aka oversized chocolate fondant) will be on my every indulgent dessert list year-round so get used to it! If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re clearly not getting the message.

3. Pain Perdu at Couqley

Who here hasn’t been to Couqley? Hands down the best pain perdu in Lebanon. Plus, this French bistro makes for the perfect romantic winter dinner.

4. Chocolate Fondant at Swiss Butter

Swiss Butter isn’t only famous for its very affordable steak, chicken, and salmon dishes but also their indulgent chocolate fondant to end your dinner on a sweet note.

5. Halaweh Nutella Baguette L’Os en Ville

I recently tried this heavenly creation at L’Os en Ville in Mar Mikhael and I strongly urge you to do so too!

6. Layered Chocolate Cake at Sandwiched

That’s certainly a melt-in-your-mouth awesome dessert choice! Winter is an excuse to eat more chocolate.

7. Cinnamon Roll at Biscuit

If you’re not a chocolate person (what are you?), then definitely give this cinnamon roll a try from Biscuit Patisserie in Mansourieh. Just pop it into the microwave and top with vanilla ice cream (also found in store) and enjoy!

8. Nutella Pizza at ANYWHERE!

Lebanon is filled with chocolate pizzas at most Italian eateries. Even your local furn makes chocolate mankoushe. We won’t judge your breakfast decisions.

9. Fried Snickers at A La Saj

Okay so the ice cream is cold, but you’re gonna need something to regulate your temperature after having that delectable fried snickers bar at this newly opened eatery in Hamra!

10. Hot chocolate at Angelina

Again, nothing says winter like melted chocolate. The hot chocolate at Angelina is literally like your drinking melted down thick dark chocolate. Just wow.

11. Chocolate Moelleux at Bistro de Michel

This dense, moist chocolate cake is one of my favourites in the city. If you’re ever in Ashrafieh, give this cozy bistro a shot.

12. Pain Retrouvé at Prune

Another pain perdu that will warm your soul in Beirut. Good news is that you can order this one at Prune or its sister Acoté in Mar Mikhael. It’s one of the best you’ll ever have! Extra caramel is goals so be extra nice to your waiter!
