Haifa Wehbe’s Homophobic Tweet Sends Twitter Into A Craze
Yesterday, Haifa Wehbe decided to reply to someone who had “insulted her” on Twitter with a homophobic comeback, because hello, it’s the 1800s.
The original tweet and account she replied to were deleted before anyone got the chance to check them out, but screenshots show that the account had called her a whore as seen below:
Translation: “When a whore preaches about purity”.
To which Haifa replied:
Which roughly translates to: “When the faggot speaks”.
The Twitter community fired back the way it does best: creating a hilarious hashtag (#HaifaWehbeIsOverParty). The party was attended by public figures, mainly Maya Diab, Carole Samaha, and Myriam Fares (all of whom having openly supported the LGBTQ community), here are the highlights:
