Some days, the only good part about waking up is that you’re one step closer to breakfast. Do you love piping hot lattes coupled with a chocolate donut? Croissants and orange juice? A smooth, blended iced coffee and a hearty bagel?
Of course you do.
That’s why today – on International Donut Day – I’d like us all to take a moment to ponder the wonder, the beauty, the immaculate perfection that is Dunkin’ Donuts.
Aside from having some of the best coffee and iced coolattas in Lebanon, DD has another sweet spot: pastries. First there are the perfectly fresh and fluffy donuts. And really, I think we can all agree that it’s impossible to go wrong with this. Have you ever had a donut you didn’t like?
I love the classic glazed donut. I love the perfectly chewy and airy vanilla donut with just a touch of powdered sugar on top. I love the decadent Boston cream-filled donut with rich vanilla custard filling. I love it all.
And here’s another thing I love about Dunkin’ Donuts: the bagels. Now, it’s actually kind of difficult to find decent bagels in Lebanon. It’s just not something we do. You can find Kaak, Manakeesh and other warm, fresh breads for days, but bagels – not so much.
And the variety, oh the variety. Plain, multi-cereal, poppy seed, sesame bagels, the list goes on. Pro-top, fools: fill that bad boy up with some delicious cream cheese or a hearty portion of turkey and cheese. This will hit the spot every time – chewy, delicious, perfect.
With so many delicious options and so little words to drool with, leave it to the good people at Dunkin’ Donuts to add one more thing to the equation: a heavenly selection of croissants. Take your pick between a plain, a zaatar, or a chocolate croissant. Another option: go rogue and have all three.
Of course, that’s not where the true magic lies. You can experience heaven first-hand by ordering a croissant sandwich. Consider it the grand meeting place for two of the most incredible things food has to offer: sandwiches and croissants. Load your favorite pastry up with turkey, cheese, or eggs and let the journey begin.
Dunkin Donuts won’t leave you; it won’t neglect to call you after a long day, it’ll always be there in all its orange and pink glory, waiting with a fresh batch of pastries for you to dive into.
And don’t forget, you can WIN BREAKFAST FOR TWO from our faves at Dunkin’ Donuts. Just head to our homepage at Beirut.com and search for a photo of… you guessed it, donuts. (Hint: The pic is really small!!!)
Once you find the image, click it for your chance to win. Yup, it’s that simple.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to get a bagel.
