In all seriousness though, this is a brilliant display of marketing. Selling strawberries on the go makes it nearly guaranteed that you’ll run into (not literally I hope) a couple of happy customers willing to buy from you in the middle of traffic. And we all know how much traffic there is in Beirut.

At only 3 thou a box for some legit baladi strawberryies, it looks like this dude will sell out in no time.

Still, you’ve gotta wonder if this is the dude’s full time job. And if it is, what does that say about our economy? It’s an amusing picture, yes, but if this is what strawberry man had to resort to for money then it’s a poignant picture all the same. The good and bad of Beirut. Money and strawberries.
