We Visited Pop In Eatery, Beirut’s Newest Gem

On the lookout for wonderful hidden gems in the city? The vibrant streets of Achrafieh (right around Sodeco to be specific) recently welcomed a new spot that is serving smiles on platters. Foodies and specialty coffee lovers, we visited Pop In Eatery and here’s how it went.

A wonderful spot befitting the street’s vibe, there is so much for you to enjoy. Their decor has the perfect Beirut café feel, with cozy corners and serotonin-inducing decor that make it a great hangout spot. The decor boasts a modern twist on minimalism, making the space quite the sight for sore eyes.

Whether you’re looking to enjoy a quiet morning out in the city, want to sample their specialty coffee offerings, or you’re in the mood to catch up on some reading, the calm and casual gem is a must-visit.

What about the coffee?

Pop In Eatery mostly serves single origin coffee – either Ethiopian, Brazilian, or Colombian. And if you don’t know what any of that means, we suggest asking the barista for some advice! If you’re an avid coffee lover and want to learn more about the origins and flavors of coffee beans, then this is a great place to start.

We stopped by for a quick coffee run, so here’s what we ordered (and definitely recommend):

  • Berry Brew
  • Pop In Flat White (recommended!)
  • Carrot Cake (recommended!)
  • Tiramisu (recommended!)

And the food?

Their menu has a lot of filling options, whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Breakfast lovers will love feasting on their homemade manakish that are served fresh out the oven, or maybe even their oh-la-labneh platter. We definitely recommend browsing their menu because their platters are as tasty as they sound. They also serve a variety of filling salads, wok, and wraps among other offerings. Their international delicacies are made with a traditional Lebanese touch to make it taste a little more like home.

Pop In Eatery is open Monday through Saturday from 9 AM until 12 AM, and from 9 AM until 5 PM on Sundays. For more information, make sure to check out their Instagram!
