After the
booing of Fuad Sanioura out of AUB, Ahmad Fatfat getting kicked out of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tripoli, and protestors
barging in on and ending a meeting between Mohammad Choucair and Nicolas Chammas, we’re happy to see that the trend of shaming politicians is alive and well.
The latest to be shamed? Former Deputy-Speaker of the Parliament of Lebanon Elie Ferzli who was spotted dining at
Swiss Butter in Gemmayze. Citizens and protestors quickly gathered in and around the restaurant, chanting “thief” and “thawra” until Ferzli decided to leave.
This comes after a political and economic slump that most people attribute to the entirety of the ruling class.
